Why do you even bother calling yourself a Network Marketer?

If you can’t confidently share your “great” network marketing opportunity with friends and family, is it really that great?

Let’s be real—if you’re hesitating to tell the people closest to you, why would a stranger believe in it? If the business and the product are truly valuable, wouldn’t you want those you care about to benefit first?

I get it—many in network marketing avoid their warm market because they’ve been burned before. They’ve seen companies that rely on hype, push overpriced products, or collapse under their own weight. But real network marketing isn’t about chasing the next “exploding opportunity” or gaming a comp plan. It’s about moving real products to real customers who actually want them—business opportunity or not.

The Pyramid Problem No One Wants to Talk About

If your entire pitch is about how much money someone can make instead of how great the product is, you’re running a pyramid scheme with a product attached. That’s why most MLMs have atrocious retention rates—because there’s no real customer base. The only ones buying are distributors trying to hit ranks, and when they can’t keep up, they quit.

Go look at your company’s numbers. How many long-term customers are there who buy regardless of the business opportunity? In my business, our average customer on auto-ship has been ordering for 9.7 years. Some of my customers have spent over $50,000 simply because they love the product. That’s how you know it’s real.

Meanwhile, many so-called “legacy” MLMs survive by forcing distributors to front-load inventory they can’t sell. Companies like Herbalife, Amway, Nu Skin, and Mary Kay have entire websites dedicated to horror stories of people drowning in unsellable products.

Go research it yourself—just don’t ask your upline for permission. They don’t want you to find out the truth.

The Fantasy of “Just Get Three”

Ever seen one of those charts?

  • You just get three… and help them get three… and by level six, you have a gazillion people and unlimited income!

It’s complete nonsense. If this system worked the way they say, the entire population of Earth would already be in one downline or another. After just 18 levels of four who get four, you’d need more people than exist on the planet.

That’s why these recruiting-heavy programs implode. The math doesn’t work, the products don’t sell, and people realize they’re not making money. The only ones who profit are those sitting at the top, cashing in on the churn.

Real Network Marketing is About Customers

A real business moves real products to real customers. Not hype. Not recruitment. Not playing the comp plan.

If your company has a product that people genuinely want—without the business opportunity—you’re in the right place. If not, you’re in a money game.

I built my business by personally sponsoring people who saw the value of the product. I didn’t need to convince them with income claims or “ground-floor” urgency tactics. They wanted the product first. That’s why my organization generated over $30 million in sales and why I continue to build a long-term, sustainable business.

  • No chasing friends and family
  • No stocking overpriced inventory
  • No reliance on social media algorithms
